Professional Interpreters exceed expectations in many areas of their profession. They are well trained in the phonetics and syntax of both of their languages, along with a vast knowledge of their field. They exceed expectations in customer service and presentation and have been promoted to professional interpreter due to outstanding client feedback. They generally have been working in their field for up to 10-15+ years and have specialized knowledge in various sectors such as law, finance, commerce, engineering, mining, customer service, and more. A professional interpreter is a perfect fit for scenarios where specialized knowledge in both languages is required.

In serious legal or medical situations, it’s best to have an interpreter on-site to ensure messaging is consistent and concise. This includes all legal, law enforcement, or health-related circumstances.

Yes, at LiM we understand that sometimes gender will play a role in the needs of the client. Whether due to the sensitive nature of the situation (medical assessments) or to respect cultural differences, we do our best to meet your gender request and will always notify you if for some reason we are unable to do so.

Consecutive Interpreting is performed in meetings that would require the interpreter to interpret phrases and sentences between 2-4 individuals. In consecutive interpretation, there is generally a pause or delay when the speaker completes a sentence. This type of interpreting is generally used in questioning and/or discoveries. It is also quite common in hospital settings as well as court trials and in company board meetings. On top of the ability to portray the message to those conversing, the interpreter is required to understand the tone of the conversation as well as possess excellent listening skills.
